Using Gaussian on LANTA

This workshop provides an introduction to using the Gaussian software on the LANTA HPC. The session will cover topics including an overview of Gaussian modules on LANTA, creating batch job scripts for running Gaussian jobs through the SLURM scheduler, and best practices for running Gaussian on LANTA. This workshop is intended for participants with prior experience using Gaussian.

By the end of this course, attendees will know how to:

  • Use pre-installed Gaussian modules on LANTA

  • Able to run Gaussian on LANTA (CPU, GPU)

  • Best practices for running Gaussian on LANTA

Prerequisites:

  • Successfully login to LANTA HPC

  • Experience with the basic Linux command

  • Basic knowledge of the LANTA supercomputer

  • Access to the Gaussian modules on LANTA is required to participate in the hands-on activities. Please refer to Access restricted software for further information.

If the above criteria have NOT been met, we recommend the potential participants to go through Introduction to LANTA HPC beforehand.
